A book of practical and tried advice written by an experienced practising teacher. Mr. Billows has had the opportunity of seeing the work of a great many teachers and for some years has also been engaged in the training of teachers. Although the findings of the linguist and the psychologist are taken into account in this book, nothing is based on theoretical considerations alone.
The author believes that language only grips and leads the mind when it is being used significantly, and that action must therefore come before expression.
