Acerca de "Native Son"
Bound in gray cloth, with gray Rockwell Kent-designed endpapers, and a gilt-stamped black title panel to the spine and front board (Toledano''s spine/binding No. 8). The tops of the leaves are stained and even black. The cloth is a tad toned, and the corners of the boards are lightly bumped. Minor soiling to the rear board and fore-edges of the leaves. In a black, white, and orange, pictorial dust-wrapper that retains the publisher''s price of 95 cents at the top of the front flap, and has a list of Modern Library''s 281 titles published to date on the reverse of the wrapper, with ML No. 221 at the tail of the spine panel. The dust-wrapper is lightly toned and soiled, damp-stained at the front flap fold, and torn at the ends of the spine panel and flap folds. A 2.3 cm. x 2.1 cm. portion of the tail of the spine panel is missing. "Overwhelming in its power, compassionate and profound in its understanding, this story of crime and punishment belongs to no season; it has established a permanent place for itself among the unquestionably important books of our time." Published by: New York: The Modern Library, 1942. Contents: Book One: Fear Book Two: Flight Book Three: Fate
Sin sobrecubierta.
